"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher then the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts then your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
Life is full of uncertainties, and it's natural for us to desire a glimpse into the future. We yearn for a sense of control, wanting to know what lies ahead so that we can plan and prepare. However, often the future remains shrouded in mystery, leaving us feeling anxious and fearful. But what if we could let go of the need to know and instead have faith
in God?
As human beings, we have a tendency to worry about what lies ahead. We stress over our careers, relationships, and personal well-being. We fear the unknown, fearing that we might make the wrong choices or experience unforeseen hardships. But in the grand scheme of things, does our worry truly serve a purpose? Will it change the course of events or bring us any closer to the answers we seek?
"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
Matthew 6:27
In times like these, it is important to remember that God is at work. God is sovereign over all. He knows the beginning from the end, and nothing escapes His notice. He is the One who never sleeps and never slumbers, constantly watching over us and guiding our steps.
In the past, I too found myself constantly consumed by worry and fear. I would lose sleep over what the future held, seeking assurance and control over matters that were beyond my reach. But as I began to deepen my faith, I realized that I was placing unnecessary burdens upon myself. I was forgetting that there is someone far greater than myself, someone who already knows the outcome of every situation.
Having faith means trusting in the One who holds the future in His hands. It means acknowledging that we are not in control and surrendering our worries and fears to Him. It means understanding that even though we may not know what lies ahead, we can find peace in the knowledge that He is working all things for our good.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
When we have faith, we can let go of the need to know every detail of our future. We can embrace the unknown with confidence, knowing that God's plans for us are greater than anything we could ever imagine. We can find solace in the fact that no matter what happens, we are not alone. We have a loving, caring, and all-knowing God who walks with us every step of the way.
Having faith doesn't mean that life will be free from challenges or hardships. It simply means that we trust in God through the difficult times and in the midst of uncertainty, God is still in control. We believe that He will guide us through the storms and lead us to a brighter tomorrow.
So, the next time you find yourself worrying about the future, take a moment to pause and reflect. Remember that you are not alone in this journey. Have faith in the One who knows the beginning from the end. Trust that His plans for you are good, and stand confident in the knowledge that your future is secure in His hands!
